Bird-Human Space

Eco-social designer Christoph Matt in collaboration with landscape architect Martin Allick and artist Ulrika Jansson critically examine the negotiation of space between birds and humans.

On a hands-on interactive design walk through Frihamnen the participants explore via diverse design methods; nest building from a Swans’ perspective, experimenting on how Black Redstarts and humans make use of n seemingly neglected and ambiguous spaces of the city, and learning about the human scope of action to advocate the birds’ need of space in urban landscapes.

By design, crafts, activism and architecture the participants reflect personally and as a group on co-habitation of birds and humans by artistic practice.
